If you want to move yourself and vehicle(s), you can use U-haul, etc. Just keep in mind that to tow a vehicle, they are going to make you rent a large truck (think it was around a 24') to handle the tow, and it may be more truck than you need (based on your description of the amount of stuff you have). This is going to drive your rental and fuel costs up, plus the hassle of driving a large truck with a tow. I've done it a few times and can be a pain depending on how comfortable you are driving in that situation. If you have more than one vehicle that you are taking with you and can fit all your stuff in both vehicles, then drive one and ship one. Put all your valuable stuff in your driver, and load up the shipped car with stuff you won't need. Contact an auto transport company- my personal favorite is horselesscarriage.com. There were in the middle price range as far as covered shipping went, but were easy to work with and my TT was loaded behind a new Lamborghini and above a spotless 1960 MG. The "lowered" issue mentioned above was not an issue. Having someone move all your stuff for you will certainly be the easiest/most convenient, but shop around for a moving company. Cheapest is not the best (unless you don't care when you get your stuff and what the condition will be in when it arrives). Bottom line: moving is never cheap when you have more stuff than you can fit in one vehicle. There are a lot of options to consider depending on which way you want to go and how much want to spend.
